Hope everyone had a happy and restful Thanksgiving Break!
This week my classes are playing a game called Space Invaders (remember the Atari game, anyone?). This game puts four cones on each team's side with a tennis ball resting on top and the object is to use throws and rolls to knock down the other team's tennis balls. Pins can be defended, so problem-solving strategy and decision-making skills take center stage, as well as the ability to throw with precision.
Next week we'll begin our basketball unit that will take us up to December break. When we return in 2016, the gymnastics equipment should be at the school for us to begin that unit with our K-5 students!
